Deferred Claim

Never had any claims deferred and looking for some insight.

I had claims for MDD/MST, Sleep Apnea, & Lumbosacral strain.

on 4/28 I had ACE exams for the MDD & Sleep Apnea. It sounds like they are evaluating me for MDD/PTSD & MST. The Sleep apnea exam seemed routine & was really quick.

on 5/1 I had my C&P for my lower back.

On 4/28 my claim was closed (re-opened a few days later) stating that those three claims were deferred for the following reasons:

MDD- Examination

Sleep Apnea- Exam & Opinion

Back- Examination

My main question is why would they close & defer those claims the same day that i had those exams?

For the Sleep apnea, I had a sleep study in service, and a 2nd one done after service, where i was eventually diagnosed wish OSA, and received a CPAP. 

For my Lower back, i already had a service connected rating, it was just for an increase.

The MDD/MST was new & no in service reports were made for the MST. However, my examiner said my service/treatment records were strong for the MDD & PTSD.
