I’m disabled (19F) and my dad is telling me to get a job
let me preface this by saying i WANT to get a job and help out, but i really don’t think it’s in the cards currently.
I feel really bad because the past year of our lives have been absolute chaos with one horrible things happening after another.
My mom stopped working and has a very hard time getting around. She is a recovering alcoholic currently and is around at least 320lbs, probably more.
My older sister (28) lives on the property with her boyfriend (around 30) and has been a drug addict since at least 2018/2019. they both also do not work.
My younger sister (16) works with my dad and contributes sometimes to bills, but they do not want to make it a regular thing due to her age.
I became disabled in may of last year, i became wheelchair bound due to anorexia. i’m working on walking again and go to physical therapy every week. I currently walk with a walker and can even go household distances without one.
I want to at least do some sort of schooling in the future, i think i want to be a body piercer. Right now that isn’t really obtainable.
What would you guys recommend i do in this situation? Getting a “normal” job just isn’t in the cards for me right now and I’m aware of that. I don’t want my dad to continue feeling burdened with all this responsibility.
