Nearly blind main character for a visual novel

I’m writing a visual novel and in one of the chapters the main character has bad vision. She is technically legally blind due to albinism. Is there a way I could represent this visually without harming my players experience?

It’d also be great to get some general tips for writing an almost blind character because I don‘t have vision issues and I don’t know anyone who is legally blind.
