Claude Recall v0.6: searchable index of every Claude Code session on your machine, local-first, $29.69 one-time (7-day free trial, no card)

Showcase

Disclosure: I'm the solo dev. Paid product, $29.69 one-time, with a free tier and 7-day Pro trial.

If you use Claude Code daily, you probably have hundreds of sessions in ~/.claude/projects/ that you can never find again. The official resume and history commands only show recent sessions in your current directory. Everything older is effectively unreachable unless you remember the exact day.

I built Claude Recall to solve exactly that. Because I manage thousands of agent sessions a week. It is a local-first searchable index of every Claude Code session on your machine, with full-text search, semantic search, MCP integration, transcript rendering, and a web UI on a random localhost port.

Today's drop is v0.6, the first release.

What you get when you install it:

  • A welcome screen on bare recall that shows daemon status, sessions indexed, license tier, and a palette of every command grouped by purpose
  • Full interactive terminal UI on recall tui for keyboard-first browsing of your entire Claude Code history
  • The web UI on a random localhost port (no static port collisions with your dev servers)
  • An MCP server you can wire into Claude Desktop or another Claude Code session to pipe past conversations back in as context
  • 7-day free Pro trial via recall trial, no credit card
  • A direct feedback CLI: recall feedback opens a form that lands in the admin dashboard

A few invariants the project sticks to:

  • Local-first. The daemon binds 127.0.0.1 only, never 0.0.0.0
  • Zero telemetry. The only outbound call is a one-time license check at activation
  • Source JSONLs at ~/.claude/projects/ are read-only. Aliases, tags, and notes layer on top in local SQLite
  • Session UUIDs are immutable primary keys

Pipe any past session back into a live Claude Code conversation:

recall context <session-id> | claude

Pricing: $29.69 one-time during the May Founder window, $49.69 one-time from June onward. Lifetime updates, no subscription. There is a free tier that covers indexing, list, show, search, and the web UI if you want to try without paying.

Install:

npm install -g @clauderecallhq/cli

If you have been frustrated trying to find that one session where Claude figured out your weird build error three weeks ago, this is for you.

I've been dogfooding this for a year while managing thousands of agent sessions a week. The 7-day Pro trial is enough time to index every repo on your machine and decide if it's worth $29.69. No card is required to start; recall trial activates it.
