Overworked for same pay, also told to make up work due to taking LOA.

It’s legal for amazon (or any US company) to assign extra responsibilities if they are short staffed… meanwhile plenty of people are having trouble finding work currently.

I had reached out to HR about having to take on extra responsibilities and was told “it is necessary to meet business needs”. My burnout was not taken into consideration. Today, 3/4 people on my assigned shift (including myself) did not come in.. to what I assume to be the same fatigue from being overworked.

On a side note, I was assigned double the amount of work due to taking a unpaid LOA.
