Does a Suspension Mean Your Job is, For All Intents and Purposes, Over?

How likely is it for somebody to keep their job after they’ve been on an indefinite suspension for a week? This is a white collar job if that helps.

I assume the answer is yes, but just want to see what everyone else thinks.
