Any advice? (distance learning)

Hi, just wanted some advice from people familiar with UK uni admissions/distance learning.

I’m a non-traditional applicant and currently have:
- 5 GCSEs (English grade 7)
- Level 2 UAL Diploma in Art & Design (Distinction)
- incomplete Access to HE Social Science course

I really want to study (undergraduate) International Relations/politics through distance learning. My ideal choice is the University of London online IR degree, but obviously my qualifications are not enough right now.

I’m considering either:
- doing a full online Access course first
- or applying directly to places like Essex Online, Arden, or Open University.

What would you guys honestly do in my situation?
