Senior availability

I expect senior leadership to busy. Let’s start with that. But I’m at a smaller company 40-50 headcount total. Half of our executive team is hardly around. Traveling to conferences, other boards they serve on, business meetings or honestly who knows what. They don’t really communicate what or where they are. It’s largely not been a problem except they also manage individual contributors so getting the FaceTime with them on how we will actually implement things is hard. Also I now lead a committee and it’s near impossible to get them together because they schedules are simple blocked excessively.

We have an EA but no one lets her manage the schedule.

I just find it odd I’m such a small org where the teams they run lack any middle managers they aren’t more involved
