Venting

Idk what to do anymore, I am a democrat in texas rn but it's more than that, my grandfather was Tuskegee Airman and cause of trump war on DEI his file is mostly gone, my grandmother was one of original civil rights activist the helped pioneered the voting rights act in both Louisiana and the Supreme Court and as for me I was in DEI programs that were made to help advance me in Engineering at my college, now cause of Trump most of the services at my college for my engineering course have gutted/reduced which has halted my learning. In these year I've watched everything my family stood, fought for, and sacrificed for, be destroyed and today I sit in my room and wonder what now, everything I am is now lost, everything my uncle's and my grandfather fought wars for from ww2 to iraq has been for nothing, and I made a promise to a friend 13 years to not kill myself again, and everyday since I wish I pulled that trigger twice, I hate saying I'm democrat cause I was taught to believe that I'm an American but now after nearly 230 years of my family being enslaved in this nation I watch all the freedoms my ancestors fought be stripped from me and now my vote, the power I take the most pride in as I was the first generation in my family that was born with that full power, is now gone and unprotected. I loved my America I grew up with, and now I don't know if I can get that America back
