Hi everyone,

I know its been nearly 1yr since I posted an update. But I now have free time to get back and focus on getting the X1 back on the road. Since my last update, I fired my mother-in-laws mechanic and thankfully I was able to get back majority of the money spent on the non-repair. Here's the previous post with more [Detailed Information](https://www.reddit.com/r/BmwTech/comments/1kyt07e/update_drivetrain_malfunction_issues_ongoing/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

I recently took the X1 to BMW of Napa Valley for a diagnostic. I was advised there was a misfire present in cyl 4, and a cloud of smoke from exhaust under heavy acceleration. Also, the Fuel Injectors that were installed are defective/leaking.  The tech said, replacing the Fuel Injectors would solve the problem. Since the Fuel Injectors are on warranty, I opt'd to do the job myself and this was actually much easier and quicker than I excepted. Having the proper tools helped tremendously as well.

After replacing the fuel injectors and doing an oil change. I drove around the block several times, the car felt good, but once under heavy acceleration I felt the car is not 100% fixed.  When I stepped on the throttle, I felt some hesitation.  I did not notice smoke coming from the exhaust but I may have missed as I was focused on how the car felt.  Doesn't feel like the car is going to shut down but definitely a noticeable hiccup. Unfortunately no engine codes or drive train malfunctions pop up. I guess that's a good thing but it's not helpful in figuring out whats actually going on. So, I ended up letting the X1 sit for a few days.  I did let the engine run for several minutes each day so I can hook it up to a code reader in hopes of having something pop up I can work off of but nothing.  The other morning I noticed oil leaking from the boost pipe (pls view pictures).  Specifically, where the boost pipe connects to the intercooler.

Does anyone know why there would be a bunch of oil getting into the boost pipe?  To my knowledge, changing the boost and charge pipe got ride of the 120308 low boost pressure code I was getting.  I read the PCV can be the cause and to my knowledge the PCV is connected to the Valve Cover.  Keep in mind the previous mechanic changed the Valve Cover and Gasket. The brand he used was TRQ.  I am looking into buying this kit from FCPEuro: BMW Valve Cover Replacement Kit - 11127611278KT1

According to BMW, the my defective fuel injector(s) were the issue.  But I'm certain there's more happening under the hood.  Anyone else come across an issue like this?  Please let me know.  If I can't figure this out soon, I'll have to take it back to BMW for another diag.

If you have any questions please let me know and I'll try to answer them the best I can.

I appreciate everyone who has made any suggestions and helped me along the way!
Looking forward to hearing what some of you may think.

Massive thanks to everyone here!
