Acrylic cardigan

So i've watched hail mary, and fell in love with the cardigan Ryan Gosling was wearing (the infamous wolf-turned fox cardigan). I've read online that people are swapping out acrylic (original yarn in kits) and opting for wool yarn.

Im now thinking of my yarn options, however 100% wool yarns unfortunately don't fit my budget at the moment. I was gearing towards acrylic or wool mix (25% wool).

What do you guys about knitting wearables in acrylic?
