PSA: How to actually reach Coinbase Support (Without getting scammed by fake "agents" in your DMs)
Let’s be honest: getting locked out of your Coinbase account or having a transaction hang is terrifying. But what's worse is trying to navigate their automated help maze while dodging the swarm of scammers waiting to prey on panicked users.
I’ve seen a lot of people struggling to get a real human on the line lately, so I wanted to drop a quick guide on the safest and fastest ways to actually reach Coinbase Support.
1. The Direct Phone Lines (Save These) Do not Google "Coinbase Support Number"—scammers buy Google Ads with fake phone numbers to steal your seed phrases. Use the official numbers:
- USA/International: +1 (888) 908-7930
- UK: +44 808 168 4635
- Ireland: +353 1800 200 392
2. The Live Chat "Hack" If you are logged in, use the live chat in the app. The bot will try to loop you into FAQ articles. To break the loop, type "Live Agent" or "Speak to a human" three times. It will eventually route you to a real person.
3. Official Social Media If your ticket is stuck in limbo, going public sometimes helps. Tweet at u/CoinbaseSupport on X (Twitter). Never tweet your account password or seed phrase. Just provide your case number.
4. International Users If you live outside the US or UK, finding your localized toll-free number is a massive headache. I got tired of seeing people struggle with this, so I compiled a Complete Worldwide Coinbase Support Guide.
It includes the direct, verified phone numbers for users in Australia, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, plus a step-by-step breakdown on how to escalate a frozen account ticket if email support is ignoring you.
CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING
The second you post a question in this subreddit, you will get 5 Private Messages from accounts named "Coinbase_Support_Agent_04". They are scammers. Coinbase will NEVER DM you first on Reddit, and they will NEVER ask you to "validate your wallet" by entering your seed phrase on a third-party website.
Stay safe out there. Has anyone had luck getting a locked account resolved recently? How long did it take?
