Driving between Pierce and King counties

Relatively new rideshare driver. Very disappointed to find that when I take a rider as far as Seattle from Tacoma, I cannot pick up any pax until I cross back into Pierce county (essentially Tacoma). Also, if I want to pick up pax from SeaTac, I have to change my designated driving area as well. I live in Tacoma and find it hard to justify driving 30 minutes each way to earn money. What are your thoughts on the situation? (Besides move to Seattle, LOL)
