Pre-Op/Initial Consultation Tomorrow

Hey all,

I’ve been following this sub for the last month or so. I’m 52 and have the early signs of a cataract. It essentially feels like my left eye is looking through glasses that are always a little dirty.

The initial take was that I could possibly wait a year but I should go earlier if I want to or feel I might need to. I just can’t seem to see clearly and it’s driving me nuts. It’s especially bad when reading stuff on my phone or on paper.

Anyhow, I’ve got an initial consultation tomorrow where they will dilate my eye and run some tests. I’m just wondering what to expect at that appointment and what kind of questions I should be asking.

Also, crazy side note/question but if I have a 2:30pm appointment, am I going to be in any shape to watch a movie tomorrow night? I finally have a free night to get out and I just realized I may still be affected by that dilation.

Thanks for your thoughts,comments, suggestions.
