“Alright james, you will be taking on Travis.” the coach said, as we got to the wrestling mat and I started to grapple onto travis, holding him down and pinning him to the floor.

I was an above-average wrestler; I worked on my technique and won many, many wrestling matches, earning my scholarship in spades.

I left college and headed back home, feeling amazing as I slept. I came back to college, after my studies, and went back to the wrestling gym, excited to win again.

“Alright james, there’s been an issue with your opponent so your substitute opponent is… Jacob Williams.” The coach said As I got onto the mat, I saw you and you were a fit-looking black guy, you were taller than me, and you were 10lbs heavier than me.

I looked up at you and then I smacked my hands together and the game is on…you gave me a taunting smirk and that set me off.

You were from Chicago, but originally you were from Kenya, you have been the best wrestler in your class, your parents brought you to America to get an education and now you were facing me.

“I’m not gonna go easy on you.” I said, looking into your eyes as you gritted your teeth and said.” Come get some white boy.”
