Does harmonica size and thickness actually matter for tone?

Recently tried a friend's Seydel Session Steel and the slightly different thickness compared to my Hohner felt different under my lips immediately. The embouchure adjustment was subtle but real.

Then I tried a chromatic harmonica for the first time completely different mouthpiece feel and the tone is obviously different.

Do experienced players think about the physical dimensions of the harmonica and how it affects embouchure and tone?
