Faulty Fuel Pump - Am I okay?

I drive a 2018 Q5. The fuel pump did not stop when it was full and started to overflow right back out the gashole (my favorite name). I had the same issue with my Ford Focus like 5+ years ago but it came out the bottom of the car and it fucked the entire evap system. Should I expect the same issue here or similar? I drove 15 miles on a highway after so I used some gas up but still. Curious if anyone had similar issues/events?

The attendant gave me some paper towels and water told me to call tomorrow when a manager is there.
