Noise ordinance for businesses?

Hello! I’ve tried googling but get lots of different answers. My apartment complex is backed up to a car dealership & it’s obviously going to be loud during the day, no complaints there.

But are there no noise control standards that would prevent them from making loud noises late at night as well? My roommate constantly has to hear them yelling on the loud speaker/intercom & using heavy machinery well past 11pm almost every night. Her windows are closed but she can still hear them.

If it’s one of those things we just have to suck up bc of apartment living then so be it. I just wanted to see if there was anything to possibly be done about it, to help my roomie sleep better!

I thought about going and talking to them but I don’t see that doing anything lol.
