Guinea Pig Issue

Hi Vets! I have a Guinea pig that is having issues with his eye. We had been to the vet about 2 weeks ago and he was improving, with Tobrex 2x daily but has now had his eye decline more. Is this an emergency or can it wait for an appointment? The closest Guinea pig vet is 4 hours away. Just worried for my boy
