Inspire Implant doesn't feel right, like it's twitching on and off?

Hi all, I received the inspire implant about 2 months ago and have not been able to sleep through one night with it active. I try every single night, on the lowest voltage but tried increasing it recently with the same result.

It is so hard to describe the sensations of this thing but I hope I can get close. Basically I don't feel like it's synchronized to my breathing at all. It feels like a muscle spasm, going on and off quickly even though my breathing is slow and steady.

It's especially bad on exhaling. During one slow exhale, I'll feel the nerve engaging on-off-on-off like it can't decide to be on or off. This weird feeling wakes me up every single time.

Am I maybe just misunderstanding how this is supposed to function?
