Redeploy into reserves question

When a unit redeploys at the end of deployment into reserves, does it count as having being "placed into reserve during the battle" or not.

I'm fairly sure not as in chapter approved redeploy is step10 and being the battle is step 13 but just looking to see is there something I missed.

The Interaction I'd be looking at is redeploy into reserves so could your turn 1 deep strike with those units.
