What happens if you're stuck on an attraction and you have to use the bathroom?

There's been lots of conversation recently about a man in WDW getting off the safari mid-ride and going pee in the bushes.

It made me wonder... what happens if a ride is stopped for an extended period while you're on it, and you have to go to the washroom?
