Is there are lore reason for why we are forced into Hydro Traveler at the beginning of the Apathic Internal?

During the quest Lion's Celerity for the story sections where we are forced into using Traveler alone, the Traveler is forcibly changed into Hydro mode.

This seems odd to me, as they have usually defaulted to Pyro Traveler for story sections ever since Natlan, unless there is a gameplay/mechanical reason to need a specific element, and there was no need to be any specific element during the Traveler-only segments during this quest.

So that got me wondering if there was a lore reason for using specifically Hydro Traveler?
