For those looking at internships

I've seen quite a few posts asking about internships recently. We just released a new article on Hire Omics that may help answer some pending questions - Which programs are highly regarded? Which programs are known to convert interns to full time? How can I prepare and apply to these programs?

I do know first hand that Illumina does have a relatively high conversion rate for interns to full time employees. There were also quite a few times where we held the position open for 6+ months, so the intern could finish their degree program and then join the company.

Hope this helps some of you out there, and best of luck to you all! It is highly competitive, so apply early and make sure you have done all that you can to prepare for the interview.
