Huge boil

I have a rather large boil under the skin, its in a old spot but it got irritated from shaving today its almost too a head but under the skin around it is around the size of a golf ball. What should i do too get it down / keep it from getting infected? Should i use i PRID on it or squeeze it or what? Recommendations ive never had one this big
