Not Impressed with Coco Cay
Recently went on Liberty of the Seas and we had a stop at Coco Cay. Now I have never been to Coco Cay as this was my second RCL cruise, but I have been to Great Stirrup Cay twice on NCL. So my expectations were kind of molded from GSC on NCL. At GSC you had to tender when I went which now they supposedly have a dock but once you get on the island it’s extremely chill. You just walk to the beach find a spot and go get a drink. On Coco Cay I legitimately had no idea what was going on. We started walking and then kept walking for like 15 minutes and still didn’t find anything. All while buses are honking at us to move out of the way. Finally got to the beach and of course there are some chairs available which isn’t an issue, but just so much going on at all times. So many different areas to figure out. We took a trolley to South Beach which was way more chill but the closest bar was like a 10 minute walk. Then we waited at South beach for a trolly back to the main area and five trollies came that said they were only going to the entrance.
Overall I would rate Coco Cay like a 5/10. It was alright but I prefer my beach days to be much more chill and relaxing than what I experienced. Food was pretty good though.
