I need this loan to cover releasing my car from a tow yard. I’m currently working DoorDash daily and need my car to continue working. I’m 18 and was homeless for the last two years of my life, but two months ago I was finally able to save enough money to buy my first car and move out of the shelter. Since then, I’ve been able to rent a room, make DoorDash work for me, and life has gotten much better. I’ve finally been able to find a bit of peace.

Unfortunately, my car insurance expired on the same day I was working to get it paid. I was pulled over in the middle of a dash, and my car was towed. It has been there for two days, and they are charging a $50 daily storage fee. I sold my Xbox, but I still need $270 more to get it out.

I can show the tickets, provide the tow yard’s number, and show proof of income from DoorDash. This would be my first borrow on here. I posted on r/povertyfinance and received over 100 comments, with most people directing me to this sub. I’m hoping someone can help.

If I’m able to get the car out, it should only take me 3–5 days to repay the lender. I’m 18, so most credit cards or loans I’ve applied for through banks have been denied. This would truly be a lifesaver because if I lose this car, I’ll be back to square one.
