Gentle Giant class ideas

I’m looking for a class/race that will work with my new character idea. For anyone who’s read Brandon Sanderson stormlight series; I want to loosely base my PC off Rock the horn-eater. Think gentle giant. My PC won’t seek combat but will help and defend his friends (ie the party). I picture either like a troll/ogre who is somewhat dim witted with a big heart and uses blunt weapons such as a large mallet or stone club. Also like rock from the way of kings, I’d like to use cooking as a means to boost morale.

What class may fit this? I really don’t want to do a basic barb….
