First time thinking about divorce.

man rant 🚹

Last week I had an operation, nothing too serious but full anastesia, 3 hours under kind of thing. I got discharged early as it was an option considering the OP well

Still, recovery is a bitch. I bled, horrible fatigue, sleepiness, pain of course. I come home on the second day after operation and what? My husband asked me to cook dinner.

Fastforward today, I didn't have a good rest all week as our daughter got sick, so it involves nightly wakings, doctor trips, some house chores related to that that could not be postponed.

I have developed a secondary infection, and have a fever now, I was on my feet with our hyper active toddler all day.

My husband comes from bedtime and I ask him to make me some tea as I'm shivering and want something warm.

He says he's tired and he won't.

I'm asking how come it's ok for him to ask me cook dinner second day after an operation, but he is to tired to make me tea after a normal work day.

His point is apparently that I could say no and it would be fine if we skipped dinner once in a while (including a constantly hungry toddler and a woman in post OP Recovery. But sure). Or we could order something. (He literally makes a scene each time I say too tired to cook let's order).

My daughter is 2.5 in those years I can't count the times I went so far beyond tired to make sure our family runs well.

I literally crawled from one room to another because I was to tired to stand.

I cooked him meals while I could not stand the smell of food and couldn't eat myself while pregnant.

I laid down in a bathroom between bouts of vomiting from a terrible migraine with the baby on the blanket on the floor so I could still see her. Because he didn't want to pay the cancellation fee for the gym and went anyway.

I'm the one who gets the child when she's awake at night, one doing bedtime routine. I celebrated when I have time to shower TWICE a week. We both work full-time jobs btw.

One time ny daughter and I were both sich and I had a very high fever he said I should go sleep with her so he does not catch it too. Of course I ended up not sleeping and taking care of the baby the whole night.

But he is to tired to make me tea when I'm sick.

He literally told me, I come out and first thing I hear is do this, do that. You could've done it yourself.

True. Really. I honestly think, I could've done all of this myself anyway. So what is the purpose of this marriage?

Don't get me wrong, he's a good dad, he loves our daughter, he claims to love me. He does some chores. But his idea of helping is entertaining our daughter while I do the chores and listen to them giggling. If he's not tired. I just... there's no room for me. And it fucking hurts.
