Should there be a federal law to stop states from "busing" homeless people to other cities?
I was listening to Jake Sommers’ new song "Our own way" and one line really made me feel sick: "No, I do not want to send homeless people all away."
Turns out, many states and cities buy one-way tickets for people experiencing homelessness just to get them out of their jurisdiction. They essentially treat people like "problems" to be moved rather than human beings who need help. I can’t believe this…is it time to pass a federal law to force states to deal with their own citizens and help fix the issue?
