The Abyss 4K

I can't for the life of me get this movie to rip in Makemkv, and I'm at my wits end. I've tried 3 different discs and all 3 have had hash check failures for the same files on the disc. I've also tried on three different drives (all LG, 2 BU40N and 1 WP50NB40. The rip fails and the backup fails on all 3. Are the discs themselves just trash from the factory? Anything I can do before I give up?
