Is it worth pursuing a case?

had an emergency C-section at [Hospital A, Lynwood ,ca ] on 2/17/26 and stayed 12 days. During my stay, I reported feeling unwell, incision pain, foul smell and general malaise. I had to have a tube remove bile due to me throwing up constantly, had multiple cat scans done. I was in so much pain a general surgeon was called in to possibly open me back up to see what was wrong . That didn’t happen because the did a cat scan and “ didn’t “see anything My heart rate was elevated night sweats and my WBC levels were also elevated , but staff told me I was “fine” and did not start antibiotics or further testing. Prescribed me a higher dose pain relievers (perc 10) and sent me home

After discharge on [2/28/26], my symptoms worsened, including pain and foul-smelling discharge. I went to [Hospital B, Long Beach,ca], where a surgeon diagnosed a post-C-section abscess and infection. The surgeon stated the infection likely began developing on day 3 or 4 of my hospital stay at [Hospital A]( he pulled the cat scans from hospital A) I required [IV antibiotics / drainage / additional hospitalization].

This delay caused significant pain, extended recovery, emotional distress, and disruption to caring for my newborn. I am 2 months postpartum and my wound is just now healing , I have full medical records, lab results, discharge papers, incision photos, and a detailed symptom timeline.
