Ableton user here. Debating between M2 24gb and M2 Pro 10cpu 16gpu but only 16gb ram

My M2 24gb ram was stolen, the market is a mess right now with the M4 debacle. I found some M2 Pro 10 cpu 16 gpu, but only 16gb ram for 750. With a program like ableton and running VSTs, wouldn’t I be actually better off with the better gpu and less memory?

I was considering a Mac book pro M4 24gb 14” for 1500 from a local guy then realized that I already have dual monitors, so why not save some money? The M2 I had worked just fine.

And yes the stolen M2 is in lost mode.

Isn’t there a website that compares the performance of all the Mac configurations?
