POV ' watched tracking' by Native Kodi Option

Kodi has native built-in tracking for watched lists and the db files are saved locally, this is my preferred setup as I do not want to use trakt and I do not want an individual addon to track my watched status for movies, tv etc...

In POV I see the options to track watched are Trakt or POV. Q: is it possible to include and or default to Kodi's native built-in ability to track the watched status?

Thank you kodifitzwell in advance, you are much appreciated!
