question about pump motor and pentair system

This is hard to explain and it just started happening. I've only had this pool since June (came with the house). My Neptune variable-speed replacement motor is losing its clock because the Pentair salt system/timer is cutting power to it at night. I need the Neptune motor on constant power, with the salt generator interlocked so it only gets power when the pump is actually running. Why would it stop doing this? Pool is supposed to turn on at 8am and run through 8pm. At 8pm, the salt system shuts off and turns off the Neptune as well. At 8am the Neptune turns on again, but the time says 12am. so, every day I need to reset the dang time. Has this ever happened to anyone that can offer some help? sorry - I know this was a confusing question) 😄
