Does anyone feel like it’s getting more difficult to make relationships with GC’s?

Maybe I’m just outdated, but it feels like GC’s are taking more chances on new or smaller EC’s. Maybe it’s because data centers have snagged so many contracts. How do other electricians go about building relationships with new GC’s because the old way of country clubs and soirée’s feels dead.
