Can Loveydovey build tension without rushing the whole chat
The hard thing with apps like Loveydovey is pacing. A lot of AI romance apps can start intense very fast, but that is not the same as building tension. Real tension needs delay, small signals, tiny misunderstandings, teasing, and some restraint. If the app jumps straight into full affection or dramatic confession mode, the whole thing feels cheaper, even if the messages are technically well written. What I would want from Loveydovey is the ability to slow down and let the chat earn the emotional payoff. Not every message needs to be romantic. Sometimes the better move is a pause, a joke, or a reply that leaves room for the next step.
