Current KIT Water Science Engineering& TU Dresden HSE Students: What Was Your Admitted Profile?

Hi,

This question is specifically for current students or alumni of MSc Hydro Science and Engineering at TU Dresden and MSc Water Science & Engineering at KIT for Winter Semester admissions.

I already know that higher GPA means better chances, so I am not looking for general advice. I just want to understand what kind of profiles actually got admitted and how my profile compares.

My profile:

- German grade: around 2.5

- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering

- Relevant ECTS/coursework in hydraulics, water and environmental subjects

- FYP got 1st position in department and was relevant to smart water/resource management

- 6 months research assistant experience

- Research papers in submission (not published yet)

- IELTS: 7.5

If you are currently studying there or already admitted before, could you please share briefly:

- Your German grade/CGPA

- Research experience/publications

- Academic or technical background

Also, how long did TU Dresden and KIT take to announce results after the application deadline?
