US Embassies in the Middle East

is anyone here applying for a us student visa (f-1) from the middle east? i'm from lebanon and the us embassy in beirut is closed and visa processing is suspended. what are you doing about appointments since all the embassies/consulates seem to be closed in the region? my admission is for the fall 26 i'm not sure if i should just request a deferral.
