Inherent knowledge on Enchanted Blade after being contracted?

Random thought that came to mind my mind: do you guys think you get an inherent knowledge on how your own enchanted blade works when you first contract yourself?

By that i mean: imagine for example you are Seiichi Samura. Kunoshige just gave you your Enchanted Blade. You draw and contract yourself.

Do you know that you have Crow, Owl and Susaku once you draw it? Or does Kunoshige need to tell you? Do you just know that you gotta say Crow? Or does someone have to inform you?

Im asking this because:
Chihiro reasonably knows from his dad how Enten works
The original Bearers know how it works from Kunoshige
Sojo, Yura(?), Kyora and Hirohik0-3 know how to use it from History

Would someone who has no idea what the blades do still know what 3 base abilities they have?
