Popular author accused old fic of AI

A popular author in my fandom accused one of my older fics from 2024 as AI. And I found out today they posted about it on X too. So I woke up to multiple comments on the fic AND my newer fics accusing me of AI.

I never used AI. I asked why they thought that and they said it was due to using "not x but y" and the purple prose. And... thats it. I deleted the comment and I guess that convinced them I was guilty because they made an X post "warning" others about ALL my fanfics.

Yeah, in 2024 I used those a lot because I thought it sounded like good writing. I agree the fic is terribly written, but thats due to being a new writer. I dont use that anymore ever since it became a known "tell". My writing my new fics is very different to my old ones.

What confuses me is I reread my old fic and theres a load of basic ass grammar mistakes like dialogue attached to big blocks of narration too. I also at times spelled one of the characters name wrong.

Ive ended up setting all fics to moderation but now I just want to delete all my old fics and feel like anything I post in that fandom is going to be accused because of their fans. Obviously i dont have proof because it was 2024, I regularly delete shit from my google drive, its long gone.
