Guess the album

Hi r/emo, I was going to make a post where I asked for recommendations based on a 2002 album that is much more gritty than any of that band's following works, but wouldn't you know it, I'm not allowed to make a post about that band! Even though I am certain that album is considered "emo" by every "professional" gatekeeper when it's mentioned. This album has a demo version with significantly worse production and vocals, and it rocks.

If you can guess what the hell I'm talking about, tell me about some similar music. I had this elaborate post where I put my heart into words about an emo album I still listen to 20 years later but I guess this sub doesn't like that kind of thing. I see why people don't stay here and it's the same echo chamber at any given point, anywhere in the sub 😂
