This is when a character (who's usually a competent, tough, skilled, or badass fighter) is subdued or grabbed by another character (usually by a villain or an antagonistic character; heroes do it as well) by their upper arms, their wrists, or by their forearms.

While it mostly happens to female characters, it also happens to male characters as well.

In my opinion, whenever I see a villain or an antagonistic character grab a character (regardless of their gender) like this, I'm like "Let them go, you creep!"

And whenever a hero or heroic character does this to another character (again, regardless of their gender; hero or villain), I'm thinking, "I hope that they have an understandable or justified reason for grabbing them like that.".

Examples of this;

Prince Demande to Sailor Moon (Usagi Tsukino) from the Sailor Moon 90s anime.

Frollo to Esmeralda from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Shadow Weaver to Catra from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Slade (who was brought back to life by Trigon) to Raven from the "Birthmark" episode from the 2003 Teen Titans animated series.

Chi Fu to Fa Mulan from the 1998 Mulan movie.

Tiger Claw to Leo from the "Wormquake! Part 2" episode from the 2012 TMNT animated series.

A Vampire to Bloom in the 6th season of Winx Club.

Robin to Starfire from the "Haunted" episode from the 2003 Teen Titans animated series.
