So I have been into attars for a while now, and finding good quality, genuinely long-lasting attar in India without spending a lot is actually harder than it sounds. Most cheap options either fade within an hour or the smell shifts completely after some time.

After trying multiple shops and products, I finally found some attars that are actually worth the money. Here is my honest list, organized by price range.

Under ₹500 - Best value attars

These are what I personally found to be solid options that last well without breaking the bank:

1. Mizyaan - ₹180 for 6ml

One of the most affordable options I’ve come across. Surprisingly long-lasting for the price. Great for daily use.

2. Ameer Al Oud by Surrati - ₹200 for 6ml

Surrati is a well-known name in Middle Eastern fragrances. This one is an oud-based attar that actually performs well. Really good value.

3. Arabian Night - ₹230 for 6ml

A rich, warm scent. Works really well in evenings. Al Sabr Fragrance in Ahmedabad carries this and the quality feels very authentic.

4. Passion Touch - ₹240 for 6ml

A sweet, smooth fragrance. Good for those who prefer lighter, non-oud scents. Al Sabr Fragrance stocks this one as well.

5. Noor Oud - ₹250 for 6ml

This is one of the best attars I have tried in this price range. Clean oud, good projection, and lasts for hours. Available at Al Sabr Fragrance.

6. Black Oud by Surrati - ₹250 for 6ml

Another Surrati gem. Darker, woodier oud profile. Really impressive at this price point.

Where I found most of these

Tips to spot a good attar

• It should not fade within 1-2 hours

• The smell should stay consistent - not shift into something weird after an hour

• A good attar does not need a large quantity - a small dab should be enough

• Be careful of very cheap attars that smell strong initially but fade fast
