"In the name of Jesus, I rebuke thee" the veteran priest said as the flames from the candles made his sweat glisten, his white robes clinging to his body in the dusty room. Across from him, a stark contrast to him. While he was older, pious, a priest, she was young, wretched, screaming in agony. Again he shouted, challenging the fiend that afflicted the woman, demanding it to leave its host. But again, it refused. Twisting the girl as it fought to stay on earth. "Malachi, this again. Do you not enjoy this one? Look at her soft skin" the demon's dark voice rumbled, as the blouse of the woman it hosted tore by a force unseen. "Look at her feet. I picked them out for you my love" it purred, both a mix of seductive and cruel. But again, the aging priest rebuked it, this time louder as he bellowed. As the girl convulsed, he heard that hissing voice "I will be back, Malachi. And you....will...be...mine".

For forty years, the two had been doing this. Four long decades. The first assignment Malachi had after he had turned 18, the first demon he would exorcism. Malachi had been trained in the orphanage for this, the life of a priest. He was loyal, obedient, pure, and good. He had a natural affinity for exorcism, a prodigy they called him. His first exorcism was in a small village in the alps, he traveled there as he recalled his training, ready to face it. But what he found, he would never forget. The woman was beautiful, unlike anything he had ever seen. The demon was a succubus, luring men in for sex before killing them. The succubus had never met a mortal that could say no, until she met Malachi. That day, he cast her out. And he did it again, and again. A hundred times, he wasn't sure any more. But every time she crawled back from hell, to tempt him again. She wanted him, and he wanted to be rid of her. But the question is, who would win in the end?
