Contemplate if I should accept the new job offer
I'm currently a long term contract staff in my current company that I worked for around 2 years 8 months. This is my 2nd time renewal after 2 years and I renewed last year around August. At first, I was quite unhappy when they didnt offer me permanent position despite telling me of my good performance and well exceeded expectations but the excuse they gave is the department have no opening for permanent and they are also looking at business direction. Although they offered me a pretty high increment in salary, i felt that this set back another career growth since there was no bonus for another 2 years, no other additional benefits and we are expected to perform the same task as other permanent employees. Another things is I'm working on shift hours so my weekend is mostly I'm working and didnt get much weekend off with public holiday working too. The good side is the office is only 10 mins from my place so I dont get stressed from commute at all. The shift is 8am to 5pm or 1pm to 10pm.
Recently, I started job hunting and now I am in dilemma since I got a job offer for a permanent position (3 months probation) with 13 month salary and performance bonus but the office, more like coworking space is around 30km distance and the commute by car expected to be around 1 hour plus cause of traffic jam and even with public, its the same duration. Then the working hour is 8.30am to 6pm, longer than the current one. But the offer they gave is good with an increment in salary though they are on the lower side of what i asked for. I'm unsure on this and have trouble time deciding since I dont know if i can handle the stress again of commute after my awful first job
