New guy - couple questions

Hey all, I’ve been playing for about a month.

1. Why do the credit farming guides say to stop at 200? Is it faster to restart than have the maxed out credit per wave upgrade and go for another 500+ waves?

2. What is the ideal 2000+ unit(s)? Originally I read it’s battleship only, but I read something earlier that said titans are better.
