Built an RFP compliance tool
I’m a fractional CFO and co-founder at BidShield (still not final) with a co-founder, a tool for proposal teams, GovCon firms, and consultants who deal with long, compliance-heavy RFPs.
The pain I’m trying to solve is the part before writing even starts.
Someone has to go through the RFP, pull out every requirement, deadline, form, attachment, submission instruction, evaluation point, and compliance risk. That RFP shredding process can take hours, and one missed requirement can make the whole bid non-compliant.
BidShield is meant to be a pre-writing compliance layer.
You upload an RFP, and it helps extract the key requirements, tag them by type/risk, link them back to the source clause/page, and turn them into a compliance matrix.
It’s not meant to write the proposal for you.
It’s meant to help you stop starting blind.
I’d especially love to know:
- whether the extracted requirements are actually useful
- whether the compliance matrix fits how your team works
- what feels missing before writing starts
- what would make you trust the output
- whether this would save enough time to be worth paying for
Still early, so I’m not looking for praise. I’m looking for blunt, practical feedback from people who actually deal with RFPs.
