What would have happened had _____ given up immunity?

Had Jonathan given up his immunity to someone during the first tribal, would that person have then gone onto the second tribal, even though they hadn't actually talked to the second group?

If so, could that have been used for strategy? For example, Jonathan gives his immunity to Cirie: Emily and Devens then have to scramble and either turn on each other, or vote Jonathan/Tiff, which would still lead to a tied vote (assuming Cirie doesn't play her extra vote for added protection), therefore Emily still goes home. Cirie then goes to the tribal of the second group, straight up tells Ozzy to play his idol, and they take out Aubrey.
