whats with men asking women “what do you bring to the table” in relationships nowadays? are there no men anymore?

you wouldn’t get into a relationship with someone who lacks the qualities you’re looking for, or with someone you don’t genuinely love in the first place. but starting a relationship by asking, “what do you bring to the table?” is such a turn-off and it makes the relationship feel arranged or staged rather than something natural where two people get to know each other and discover what they truly want.
